We have a multi-million dollar home in a gated community. Dave and his crew of 2 others did a great job painting the exterior in less than a week. I had gotten 6 bids from various reputable companies and I actually liked all of them. Dave’s quote was the lowest and his approach was slightly different. I was initially concerned about going with the lowest bid but after talking through the project with them all I was confident Dave’s experience would shine through and I would be happy. He also fixed parts of my house like the garage paneling, loose shutters, broken roof tiles, etc. The house turned out great and I would strongly recommend him. Great work and great value.

At a time when it seems that you cannot even get a contractor to call or text you back, Dave responded immediately, gave us a bid on the spot and within 60 days we had our house painted. It looks fantastic. Dave prepared the house himself, provided us with guidance and recommendations, installed a new exterior garage door, fixed some exterior stucco and did a really nice job with the coverage. Legacy Painting was professional in all business dealings. They were prompt and communicative. I have a dog on premises and not once was I concerned for my pets safety or stress level. I had my dog meet meet the crew so he knew they were supposed to be at the house. I had the opportunity to review all of the work, before final approval. It started with a referral from Red Beacon. I chose 3 bidders. David’s bid was competitive and the write up estimate was the most detailed and professional looking. He provided referrals, as well as I got referrals from Yelp. David and his team painted the exterior of my home. He communicated what to expect. Any areas that needed some additional attention, he took care of. In addition, I asked him if he could fix our sticking utility door and gate. And he took care of it!
It’s AMAZING what a fresh coat of paint can do for a home when done correctly! I’d definitely recommend David and team.

I have dealt with many contractors. For painting my house, I did plenty of research and had 4 bids done. From the start of the bid, Dave was the most professional and it was not close. He was early when he came out. We walked the house. He asked questions and provided many answers. There was a lot of prep work that needed to be done in filling
in cracks, patchwork, etc. He thoroughly explained his process and what he planned to do. He provided the estimate at an extremely competitive price in a timely manner. It was very detailed and I felt there would be no surprises and there was not. He did many small things to go above and beyond in customer service. His quality is second to none.

Legacy Painting was great. I found them at Pleasanton’s Farmers market promoting their services. They painted the outside of my stucco house. I was at work when they prepped and painted. I’m very impressed at the attention to detail – like I would be and I am a VERY picky person. It seems David is too 🙂 They were there when they said they would be and when they left, completely cleaned up.
It seems they are booked in advance – I had to wait about 1.5 months before they could come out was the only negative, but it was worth waiting for the quality results.

Being a Female homeowner I have NEVER had a contractor leave after a remodel etc without feeling taken advantage of and stressed during every aspect of the job. They responded really fast to my request for service (some of the companies I sent messages to took over a week to reply). I liked the fact that the estimator who came out to see the job is the painter himself, so I could feel confident that he knew what he was talking about. They painted the house, freestanding garage and separate shed, and agreed to use 3 colors instead of 2. They cleaned up every day. In all, I was very happy with their work, and would recommend them to anyone.

I came to know about Legacy Painting Contractors through the job they completed on my neighbor’s house.
After making initial contact with David, he personally visited our house to provide the initial estimate.David was on-time (within 2-3 minutes) of his scheduled appointment time. David is extremely polite and considerate. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. Quotation was sent to me via email within 2 days of his initial visit. Legacy painting’s quotation was very price competitive to other quality painters in the market.
Lead time for starting the job was around 6 weeks, however this is mainly because of the fact that these guys are very popular and they are booked way in advance. The 6 week lead-time allowed me to redo the siding and the prime wood around the windows.
We were hoping that 6 weeks is long enough time for us to decide on the color, however as it is typically the case, homeowners would not make their decision literally 2 hours prior to when project is scheduled to start. This was indeed the case for us and interestingly enough, David was indeed very patient and accommodating during this process and allowed us to take our time to make a proper decision.
David himself was off to camping when painting was done on my house. However he provided his Cell phone number to insure that he is reachable if needed. Not to mention that I never called him and even in his absence, his crew completed the job “flawlessly”. For a house of 3000 + ft with 5 employees moving the ladders every half an hour, you would expect that a couple of windows are broken by the time job was done. Surprisingly enough, no part of our house was damaged because of painting job. Great job Legacy painters. There are a lot of contractors out there that make living out of providing incomplete jobs and through cutting the promised services. The only way to curb these individuals is to do business with honest, quality contractors that deliver better than what they promise, in a time frame shorter than what you expect for a reasonable and cost effective price. I watched Legacy Painting paint the house next to me. I went over during the job and asked for a quote. After the job was complete I went and “inspected” that house next door. I was very impressed at the attention to detail and let me tell you I am a VERY picky person. After checking that house, didn’t even get another estimate. I simply called and asked when I could get on the schedule.
Dave and Judy were very easy to work with. Judy even helped me with some “design” as the wife was out of town and I needed some help deciding on accent colors. I can’t say enough about how happy I am with the exterior house painting job.
Mine also had that same level of detail. The crew were very courteous and efficient. The job was completed in 2.5 days. Dave came back and did a walk around and honestly, as much as I looked, I couldn’t find one spot that needed attention.

Legacy came to our home and spent time making notes to put together a bid. We were impressed with their knowledge and suggestions. Unfortunately we never received a bid or call back. If they did not want to do the job just say so! If you would prefer to do only homes in San Ramon or Livermore then don’t come out to Castro Valley. Very unprofessional.

Went very well. Legacy painters were communicating and were in constant touch from the time of the estimate to the time they showed up at my door for work. They clearly explained the nuances with various options. And all three days during the painting, they were very professional. Took time to review the work with us multiple times during the day. Did multiple coats on the trims and walls.
Owner, David, is very meticulous and was always there during the work performed. He pays special attention and is very detail oriented. David was gracious to fix pigeon net for us without additional cost.

Legacy painted the exterior of a home I have in Pleasanton. I however live in Los Angeles. It’s hard to have anything done like this long distance. Legacy did a fantastic job painting the house. They surpassed my expectations with the quality of their work. They were less expensive than the other quotes I had gotten. They communicated with me during the entire process via emails and phone calls. They took pictures before and after and sent them. They set me color selections and actually ended up having to match a color for me. Dave provided a very competitive bid that I felt delivered the best value versus the other painting contractors. I contacted Dave/Legacy Painting after seeing the results on a neighboring home on my street. Got my bid in a day or so and then Dave was able to squeeze in my job within the same week. Dave did not disappoint. They did a great job prepping the house which consisted of power washing, sealing the cracks in the stucco, replacing some fascia that was rotted and digging out about 2-3 inches around the base of the home. The following day Dave arrived promptly at about 7:30-8:00 am and completed most of the painting in one day. He came back again at 8 am on a second day and complete the second coat on some trim.
The whole process was stress free, he clearly knows his craft and everything was done very much to my satisfaction. He was very responsive by both phone and text. He cleaned up everything, there were no paint drips or splatter on my pavers (driveway, walkway and patio) to found. To top it all off, Dave was a super nice guy to chat with. Before leaving he said “just because I am paid doesn’t mean that I am finished. Let me know if you find anything that needs to be touched up”.
I was so happy with Dave/Legacy that I told him to leave his sign up for an extra week in my yard.

The rooms look the best they ever have and I have been in this house for over 30 years. The rooms were painted very quickly, but thoroughly. We had accent walls in each room, with the ceilings also being painted a lighter shade. So three colors in every room, but it was no problem with them.
